Oh I agree that they're totally different people, philosophically. I just meant his outward mannerisms, that's all.

But i disagree that he does not have subtle but different qualities. Like mack said coulson put a value on life and Sarge doesn't. Not for his crew (as we see with Jaco and when he heard that tinker the guy in the wall died.) Contrast that with coulson risking his health to go see fitz's body on the table and being visible upset that he loss him.
