Torchwood 4x10 "The Blood Line" full reaction

"I've lived so many lives. And now I can see them all. Hey...not so bad!"

We've reached the end! Thanks so much for watching this show with me! ❤️❤️❤️

Next up in Tier III: "The Sarah Jane Adventures" If you're sticking around for that one, I'll see you for the next (first!) reaction 😍

If not, thank you so much for your support with "Torchwood" - it was quite an adventure, and I'm glad I watched it with you. Maybe I'll see you in the future for another show. :-) Thanks guys! 🙏

Yes, agree that resolving Oswald Danes (and Oswald Danes in general) was problematic. I think TW created a really big, complex issue in Miracle Day that was so huge in scope, it was tricky to deal with all of it in 10 episodes. I'm also with you on never quite buying that so many people would become Oswald Danes fans without it being "earned" in some way. So many bold ideas, some didn't get explored fully enough. I'd definitely watch more, too. :-)

I do enjoy S4 as a whole but I do find it gets a bit sillier the nearer you get to the end. That said, still lots to enjoy in this. It wasn't until the second time around that I realised the Blessing was separate from Jack's blood. Because of the pink colouring of the rock I had assumed it was a thing that had been somehow "grown" from his blood beginning in the 1920s and had got to planet-spanning size in the 2000s. I do think Oswald Danes is a problem. On the one hand I'm glad they didn't do a redemption arc but his speech about going to Hell to follow the bad girls just leaves a bad taste. I think the concept of an objectively terrible person who somehow becomes a media celebrity is a fascinating idea but ultimately I'm not sure they pulled it off. I never really believed his transformation to someone people would follow so his regression/reveal as still awful was no surprise and it distracted from other themes that were playing out in those moments. Clearly it was set up for a further series. I would certainly watch it if it ever came back.

I've seen all of TW before, but never really enjoyed beyond s1. Maybe its almost time to re-visit this series :)
