At this point, I think you missed what Coulson said about Radcliffe in that he's been corrupted by the Darkhold. That makes him believe, it seems, that his goal justifies the means he uses to get there. The creepiest thing he did before that was creating Aida in the image of someone he cares about, but that could be understood. The stuff with kidnapping May and such was all after he looked in the Darkhold.

Mack is thinking the worst of what has happened because he doesn't trust Radcliffe at all at this point after Aida. It seems to me like you would assume the same as Mack if you didn't have all the information we get with the show, you still don't trust Radcliffe to not kill any of them at any time lol.
