I don't know if you picked up on it, but the actor who played Harding (Jeff Rawle) played Amos Diggory in "Goblet Of Fire".

Toby Harmon

This episode is such a fun and entertaining romp. I love the whole focus on art and this episode does a great job at showcasing Clyde's art skills which were previously touched upon in past episodes (Mark of The Berserker and Mad Woman In The Attic). It's nice to see him get appreciation from his friends, peers, teachers and outsiders regarding his skill and detail in drawing as well as possibly considering it as a future career. The rift with Sarah Jane and Luke was also interesting as it's one of those rare times where he acts like a teenager and the whole theme of no one being perfect ties up nicely here especially with the last scene. Lionel Harding and Miss Trupp were funny characters. I like how Harding had a bit of redemption arc in part 2 after the wrongdoings he made yet it wasn't swept under the carpet when Miss Trupp called him out for the way he treated her. I loved that. The musical score in this episode is so good. I love that music piece that plays once they enter the museum and again during the final scene with Lionel and Miss Trupp. You are right about The Mona Lisa being played by the same actress (Suranne Jones) who would later play the Tardis in The Doctor's Wife (Series 6). So over the top and fun in a good way. And you're right, it makes logical sense for her to be over the top and insane after being trapped in the painting for so long. It's no wonder Sarah Jane felt a bit of sympathy for her after experiencing it herself. During the scene with the panic of the missing Mona Lisa, Lionel actually makes a reference to Planet of The Dead when he tells security about their poor job when he says "I told them security had to be improved here, I told them! After that Cup of Athelstan fiasco in Easter!" which is a reference to Lady Christina stealing the cup at the start of Planet of The Dead. This has some connection to a Classic Who story too. I also really liked the scene with Sarah Jane opening up to Mr Smith about Luke and how they both find human life really complicated. K9 saving the day fits so well. Nice showcase on Luke, Clyde and Rani together. It essentially become a Sarah lite episode in Part 2. And yes you're right about the musuem location being the same as the one in Vincent of The Doctor, Planet of The Dead and some other previous Doctor Who episodes. :D
