Finally fully caught up with your fully caught up. I actually think this episode was pretty ok. A few issues. Killing a TARDIS was, although a clever trick reveal, was probably an ill advised writing choice for those fans that remember The Doctor's Wife. But not the first time this era has made choices that are simply there to make their mark on the show with little regard to established ideas. I am a little furious that finally they give Tosin the time and material to truely deliver and it's the episode when he's leaving! I think he's the most underserved companion of this era and maybe since the show returned to our screens. But to his credit, that was a touching scene with the doc. But for me, and don't feel this his fault, I'm not sad to see him leave at all. I've never felt that before. I'm just really disappointed for the actor. Bradley was fabulous as always. Giving the others a real acting class, as he is holding on to that moment. I was always going to miss him but he made me feel it the way a companion should. Normally the main continual issue has been failing to stick the landing for these scripts. I didn't feel that this time. The weight was just adequate enough. I felt pleased with Mandip's contributions and was very pleased that she was staying. Giving me some hope for the future. I'll miss Graham. I think if things don't continue to improve, the show will miss him too. Bradley's ability to elevate the material was stark. More character work with better and then consistent delivery on the stories is a much needed direction for the 13th series.
