Yeah, I think that's why I watch most everything with subtitles these days. I feel like either sound design on a lot of shows is getting worse (with the added effects) or I'm just getting old, as I struggle to understand a lot of dialogue in TV/films. And admittedly, it's probably a good chunk of the latter (I'm almost 50), but not always. :(

2022-02-25 06:01:46 +0000 UTCThere's just too much reverb/echo applied to them - I get the whole alien-esq accents, but the attempt to make the room feel so large negates any possibility in understanding huge lisps and whispering

2022-02-24 11:42:13 +0000 UTCHuge fail for the sound editor on this episode. No one ive seen react to this could understand the time keepers. I couldnt either. I imagine its one of those cases when you know the words being said then you can understand it through all the distortion but I dont think ive seen a worse job in any show or movie when the words being spoken are plain english.
