Subaru is still insufferable even though I expected him to be a bit wiser and less selfish. I agree its really hard to watch him mess things up so bad. Obviously he's in a tough spot because he's in a new world and he has the shadows on him so there's a lack of communication that's not his fault, but some of the miscommunications are just caused by his flaws that existed before he got dragged in.
