my fav scene was with the bored vikings hiking up the mountain listening to the priest. That was a really entertaining clash of cultures I really like our boi Thorfinn, but homie is still just a kid. half way through the series, I think Thorfinn is actually my second favorite character, sorry protag, Askeladd is just too damn cool. I mean the way he jumped off his dying horse to land on his feet glaring at the ambushers... what a badass

The moment Askeladd met Thors, he showed reverence towards him by asking Thors to lead Askeladd and his group. He tried to play it off as just a joke later, but here we can see that he was serious. But then why did Askeladd went through murder of Thors anyways? Is it because he knew that Thors was the type of person who would never lead Askeladd and his group? Is it because ultimately Askeladd is a scumbag who would do anything for a bag of money? Maybe a little bit of both. With every passing episode, the show continues to add layers to Askeladd's character.
