I love how keen Ashe is in her reactions with catching that Alluka is trans on the very first watch. I figured it was an obvious thing, but a lot of people get confused by it or outright deny Alluka being trans. To me it was very obvious, but it was written in a way that didn't spell it out for you, you just infer it from the dialogue. Togashi doesn't shy away from transgender or queer representation in his work. Killua being the only member of his family to respect Alluka and her pronouns just makes him all the better.

2021-12-12 06:30:19 +0000 UTCYeah, all the Zoldyck children are biologically male. Togashi has a history of creating trans characters for his works. Even Yu Yu Hakusho has some too! Pretty neat. I forgot if it's ever explained why the younger children are dressed in female clothing though.
