Catradora Ghost of Tsushima

This is one of the comms I've been working on since last week Alex J., the person who commissioned me, wanted to write a short story that goes with the pic, and he gave me permission to share what he wrote here beforehand. So here it goes!! We hope you like it ^^

"After a long day of hard training, the two young warriors/lovers decided to head over to their favorite hot spring before dinner. The ride over was made in a hurry because they didn’t want to miss a second of spending some quality time alone together.

The water was warm and soothing for their aching muscles, all the tension and worry of the day vaporising in an instant, if only for a while.

There were rumours among the other samurai clans about an impending invasion from the Mongol Empire to conquer Japan. If that was true, then Tsushima was in a lot of trouble.

”Catra?”

”Hmm?”

”Do you think it’s true?”

Catra could hear the worry in her voice. She didn’t want to think about it, not now.

”What do I think is true?”

Adora squeezed her arms tighter around Catra before answering. ”You know what.”

Catra usually acted so casual and brave all the time, especially around everyone else. But the truth was, she was terrified. She took a deep breath and said; ”I don’t know, I really hope it’s not. All I know is if it were to happen, I will fight until my last breath to protect our home.” Catra turned in Adora’s hold so they were facing each other, looking deep in her eyes when she softly spoke. ”And you Adora, I can’t bear the thought of you getting hurt.”

Adora gently cupped her face and said; ”You won’t lose me Catra. If war does come to our shores, I will fight by your side until the end. Always.”

When both of them leaned in and their lips met in a tender kiss, it felt like everything was going to be okay. If only they knew…
