This makes me think that Ging knows the future or something. Either his nen or someone/something else's nen that he's come in contact with has shown him what's going to happen. He knew way too much about what was going to happen to Gon this entire time. Does he even have any connection to the Zoldycks at all? It doesn't seem like he had a way to actually determine if there was someone strong enough to heal Gon outside of just knowing the future. It's way out of left field but maybe some type of restraint and vow like kurapika's could give him the ability to see his son's future, where maybe the restraint was limited contact or something. It doesn't explain why he's a dick though.

That’s how much aura his restriction and covenant gave to him… absolutely insane. I loved the line that Pariston had more faith in Ging as an enemy. Cheadle had no faith in Ging as a friend, that’s why he said she never listens to him!
