Personality is somewhat similar(Back in Jaya you can see how they acted at the bar and how Blackbeard believes in dreams like Luffy) where it's hard to take them both seriously at time but it's interesting that Blackbeard has a lower threshold when taking damage and Luffy has a higher threshold when taking damage.
