Seeing Luffy hurt, hurts the most specifically because he's such a jolly goofball that when he stops being a jolly goofball it just feels like the world just flipped upside down. On a side note, I recommend you guys watching One Piece Strong World and episode 0 after episode 515, which is the end of the saga. Strong World sort of ties in with this saga so I think it would be the perfect time to watch the movie alongside episode 0 which was the promotional chapter / episode that came out to promote it.
