Chapter 1144: Lü Bu in Seclusion...

Ma Chao was bleeding profusely, but it wasn't a big deal. He had a few wounds deep enough to expose bone, but for someone at the internal energy manifestation stage, these hardly counted as injuries.

"Mengqi!" "Brother!" Both Pang De and Ma Yunlu exclaimed with excitement. Though Ma Chao was drenched in blood, they had seen him in worse condition before.

"I won’t die," Ma Chao waved his hand, indicating he was fine. The wounds on his body quickly closed, stopping the bleeding.

"Thank you, General Guan, for your assistance," Pang De said, though he didn't quite understand why, after just a glance from Guan Yu, both Ma Chao and Guan Yu had suddenly burst into blood. But the fact that Ma Chao had awakened was enough reason to be grateful.

"No need to thank me. In fact, I’m the one who interrupted Mengqi's opportunity," Guan Yu said with a faint, bitter smile.

"Wenhou is truly terrifying," Ma Chao said with a wry smile as he climbed off the bed.

"Wenhou?" Pang De looked confused, his face full of questions.

Ma Chao briefly explained what he had experienced in his consciousness, and Pang De, being no fool, quickly grasped the meaning behind Lü Bu’s actions. He, too, felt a sense of regret.

As for Lü Bu shattering the visible world, Pang De didn’t find it particularly surprising. After all, he had personally witnessed Lü Bu shattering the sky. Moreover, ascension itself represented a leap in the level of existence, so becoming stronger made sense to him.

"I wish I could face Wenhou in battle again," Pang De said with admiration. He didn’t care much about Lü Bu's questionable morals but was thoroughly impressed by his strength.

"Achoo!" Lü Bu rubbed his nose and looked around at his surroundings. He felt fortunate that both he and Diao Chan were now immune to all poisons. However, this heavenly realm certainly seemed strange.

"Fengxian, what should we have for dinner?" Diao Chan’s voice transmitted from their small house on a grassy plain.

They had already been in the heavenly realm for several days. Lü Bu had flown quite far but hadn’t encountered anyone. Diao Chan had originally wanted to live in seclusion with Lü Bu, so this completely isolated environment was a bit extreme, but she didn’t mind.

Though they had to gather food themselves and make their own clothes, this peaceful lifestyle suited someone as gentle as Diao Chan.

Diao Chan wasn’t just a pretty face. Even though her dancing skills had developed into something resembling a spiritual talent, that didn’t mean she was lacking in other skills. All her basic survival skills were nearly maxed out.

As for making clothes, Lü Bu could chop anything she saw into the exact shape Diao Chan wanted. Before long, their new home was equipped with various basic tools. The unstoppable Lü Bu could navigate any map with ease.

Thus, even though there were strange animals around, they had all instinctively avoided Lü Bu since his arrival. They knew better than to provoke him.

"I’m looking. That creature we ate last time with the pouch didn’t taste great. How about we have fish today? Yesterday, I saw a Kun fish floating on the clouds," Lü Bu said as he scanned the area for fruit and replied to Diao Chan’s transmission.

Whenever Lü Bu found any fruit, he would always take a bite first to ensure it wasn’t poisonous before bringing more back. Even though Diao Chan was also immune to poison, Lü Bu was always cautious.

"Oh, Fengxian, be careful and come back soon," Diao Chan replied, recalling the strange creature they had eaten the day before. Lü Bu had strong teeth and could eat anything, while Diao Chan wasn’t a delicate lady who never lifted a finger. Her cooking skills were almost as good as the chefs in Chen Xi's household.

Lü Bu soared into the sky, flying quickly to the seashore, about a hundred miles away. He looked around and finally spotted a patch of grayish-yellow clouds. Grabbing his Sky Halberd, he charged toward a giant Kun fish basking in the sun.

Within moments, as the Kun roared in frenzy and waves crashed violently, Lü Bu flew off, holding a piece of meat about ten pounds in size.

As for the turbulent sea behind him, Lü Bu paid it no mind. He only thought that this fish was enormous—just the meat it grew each day weighed hundreds of pounds. They could probably eat it for a lifetime without worrying about running out.

After about fifteen minutes of thrashing, the Kun calmed down, its wounds healed, and it resumed sunbathing on the ocean's surface. Meanwhile, the Kun, notorious for holding grudges, was waiting for the creature that had bitten a chunk out of it to return.

Ever since it had grown this large, it had always been the one bullying others—never had anyone dared to bully it. Even though it had been startled a few years ago, the Kun had since grown larger and no longer worried about running into that opponent again.

That evening, Lü Bu chewed on the Kun meat, finding it fresh, chewy, and flavorful. Diao Chan also thought it tasted better than the previous meats they had tried, so Lü Bu decided to mark his food source to ensure it wouldn’t disappear.

After lunch, Lü Bu, as part of his post-meal exercise, set off to find the Kun again. The two engaged in a fierce battle over the sea, with blood staining the waters.

Of course, Lü Bu emerged unscathed, while the Kun suffered greatly. Although its strength was comparable to Lü Bu’s, its massive size made it slow, leaving it vulnerable to Lü Bu's relentless assault.

But these wounds weren’t much to the massive Kun with its thick hide and dense cloud energy. Even for Lü Bu, delivering a fatal blow to it would have been difficult.

Fortunately, Lü Bu wasn’t there to kill it. After slashing at it for a while and leaving some wounds, he implanted a spiritual imprint in the creature to track it and flew away, ignoring the Kun’s furious roars.

For years afterward, Lü Bu would come to the Kun daily, taking a bit of its flesh. No matter where the Kun tried to hide, it was no use. Initially, the Kun wanted to fight back, but it quickly realized it couldn’t swim fast enough, while Lü Bu was incredibly fast in the air.

One day, when the Kun was almost strangled to death by a squid with long tentacles, Lü Bu arrived right on time, severed a tentacle with a slash of his halberd, and rescued the poor creature.

Taking advantage of the situation, the Kun devoured most of the squid, preventing itself from becoming another creature’s meal. From that day on, the Kun resigned itself to its fate, sunbathing peacefully on the ocean’s surface. After all, what harm was a mosquito that sucked a bit of blood? It would grow back in no time.

After that, Lü Bu no longer needed to travel hundreds of miles to find the Kun when he wanted fish. He also didn’t hit as hard anymore when taking some meat.

Meanwhile, back in Ye City, the Wen family business was solving the issue of the bracelet for Chen Xi. Though Chen Xi had said to forget about it, the Wen family wasn’t about to let it go. After all, any opportunity to connect with Chen Xi was valuable, and prominent families like theirs were eager to show their faces.

Soon, a second bracelet arrived in the hands of Wen Hui, the Wen family head in Jizhou. Upon seeing the engraved words on the bracelet, Wen Hui immediately ordered his men to prepare gifts and made plans to visit Chen Xi the next day.
