This was pretty ambitious for me and took months to bring together. I hope it lives up to my own hype. There will be a few very minor differences (mostly mistakes I caught after the fact) between this and the nebula and main YouTube versions. But they're so small I really didn't want to make you guys keep waiting. (Rendering can take hours and you would be waiting until tonight at this rate)

What you describe matches up perfectly with my experience trying to find more social studies type content from non-white creators. And I feel I finally understand how this norm got reconstructed on youtube. Though I feel like many of your points go well beyond the online world. I found myself the other day in a lecture hall talking about how contemporary left wing political movements try to address systemic issues with a white prof lecturing to only white students about two texts from white authors. Academia definitely constructs these systems in a different way, but the end result is pretty similar, well at least over here in western/central europe. Took me until my early 20s to realize, but most things I knew about racism until then was from white people talking with a white lens about 50 year old books from white men
