2019-12-27 10:29:32 +0000 UTCIn Hindi cinema (not sure about other Indian-language films), Gandhi is either portrayed as the greatest hero who ever lived and a gift to entire humanity or someone who was a hypocrite and made deals with the Brits at the cost of people's lives. Depends on the director's/writer's political leanings. I haven't seen a layered portrayal of the man on the silver screen.
