I think there is one scene where Jimmy's mom says that she took care of it and the girl will not bother again. Also laptop was exchanged. But ya the pH bit was to start the story anyways. Please watch trance .

I feel it’s unfair to nitpick issues with such a brave effort, but one glaring issue was “why the hell would that sex trafficking guy give a cellphone albeit without SIM card to the victim of his trade”. That bothered me. Also I couldn’t really understand how Anu managed to convince John to give the passport back. Was it just trading the laptop of his daughter? Or Jimmy’s Mom in the US had anything to do with it? Looks like Anu told her the truth in the last call they had. By the way, Mahesh Narayan was an excellent editor first and became a director with Take Off. That’s why the brilliance in cuts. Also all the actors were living in the same building for the duration of the shoot which apparently was Fahad’s apartment building in Kochi. Mahesh, Fahad and Roshan Mathew were in a film companion interview recently and they mentioned how the shoot went. You could just watch it for more information on the shoot.
