Nicely put. There is a recent resurgence to the notion that Mughals destroyed india, Hinduism and our culture. Even though there is some validity to that for an extent. We can't just make one dynasty the scapegoat of everything that happened. Historically, every kingdom pillaged others for their expansion irrespective of their origin or beliefs.

But most Americans don't know that 3rd world countries means the countries who did not align with either America or Russia during cold war. Everyone who supported America were called 1st world and Russian allies are called 2nd world. Who ever were not interested in the stupid conflict and decided not to be part of that were called 3rd world. 3rd world countries include whole of south America, most Africa, south asian countries like India, Pakistan, Indonesia, singapore, Malaysia. Even European countries like Austria, Switzerland, Finland and Sweden. But Americans being Americans misappropriated the term to something else and it weirdly is now defined to designate some country as poor or under developed. Which makes no sense at all .😅😅

The kingdoms in the North were at war for territory very frequently as the changes in kingdoms indicate. The northern invaders were just one aspect of this. The narrative these days try to position the Hindu kingdoms as pecafully coexisting and the norther invaders (read Muslims) as destructive forces. Some of the most brutal wars in our history featured Hindu Kings as well. All boils down to power and territory.
