Incidentally Sridevi was the first choice for this role but she could not do the film and then the film makers then signed Divya Bharti Divya Bharti had just entered bollywood and had completed almost 90% shooting of this film but she feel off her balcony and died in 1993.... the makers were left with no choice but to reshoot the film and fortunately this time Sridevi was available for this role
