I donβt think the hate exists because someone does speak English per say. Itβs more nuanced than that. English has unfortunately become an indicator of education and/ or class. Itβs more a classist bias thing versus a linguistic bias. If anything, people in India from all regions are very proud of the language/ state they belong too.
