Wow.. didnt know this was coming up. Nagraj Manjule has had similar upbringing like the boy in the movie. He has an amazing backstory .. was a drug and alchohol addict by age of 9 and left it all by age of 13-14 , because he fell for a girl and didnt want her to find out.. his next movie is going to be with Amithabh Bachchan “Jhund” waiting for it since a Year.. He casts most of his characters from his native village.. trains them himself.. Rinku Rajguru , the main lead was only 14 years old when casted for Sairat.. The actor who played father in this movie is veteran actor Kishore Kadam.. rest most of them are first time actors.
