I wouldn't recommend you watch any tv show if you want to get acquainted with the actual historic facts and the story. These shows manipulate the events and texts to stretch the show and serve their objectives. These shows follow the events vaguely but completely change the timelines, details and even events to make their own versions. Their primary purpose is only entertainment. So while good for entertainment I wouldn't suggest it to someone not familiar with the source material or even the basic story details through cultural exposure. I have watched several episodes and even a layman like me who haven't read everything but know basic details saw that even basic events were manipulated/changed. So while I like the song, not recommended. It's a masala show made for money and entertainment - but completely unfaithful as given in it's disclaimer.
