Why can't Bollywood make original movies. How will people be interested and excited to come and watch biopics? Next in line is Karthik Aryan with Virat Kohli's biopic. I want bollywood to make me feel excited to come to the theater. Not boring Biopics or remakes. Is there no one in the film industry that can make a movie that pulls all classes of audiences to the movie theatres? Bollywood movies before 2010 were mostly original movies with original songs. After 2010, only a handful of movies that are original have come to the theatres. Other original movies that came were either concept movies or art/slowburn message oriented movies. We need something like a Badhai Ho, Andhadhun, Tumbbad etc that can entertain all classes of audience as well as be original and successful at the box office. The current and future of Bollywood looks bleak and grim to me with the current trend. That is the reason why Pan India South Indian movies like Pushpa are pulling Hindi audiences with less number of screens than biopic movies like 83 with more number of screens. That's why I strongly feel this movie is gonna crash at the box office. If anyone got hurt by this, it's not intentional but my honest opinion.

2022-01-08 14:39:39 +0000 UTCV true. I was bursting to say the same thing. Why not simply cast a Bengali actress instead? There are many outstanding actresses in the industry, far better than Anushka in their acting prowess. More suited for the role even look-wise. Then why this every time ?!😒

2022-01-07 10:42:14 +0000 UTCI am sorry but as a Bengali I am irked by this announcement teaser. 1stly, the "bengali accented hindi" is completely cringy and sounds anything but genuine. 2ndly, the age old debate still continues and applies here as well: why not cast a naturally dusky bengali actress instead of bronzing the hell out of a supremely light skinned actress???
