NTR as Krishna and Savithri were simply fantastic and SV Ranga Rao just stole the show as Gatodgaja, the asura or demon. Have heard that Savithri was an up and coming actor and she would follow SV Ranga Rao around sets to get his mannerisms right for the parts where she plays him acting like her. As a child I loved going into this world of films based on the hindu mythological stories. The story said in this film one among 1000s from the Mahabharatha but its so endearing. You are right that after this NTR played Krishna and other gods like Rama in 30 odd other films and I love them all. In fact, when I prayed as a child, I think I prayed to NTR as he was the face of God at that time :). Thank you for the insightful review and glad you both liked it.
