I really wanted by some miracle for the kannada movie "GaantuMoote" to win the poll ..it was one of its kind movie and to me is groundbreaking lovestory of a girl and her pains which is rarely told in Indian movies. Same with malayalam movie " "Sufiyum Sujatayum" Both these movies left me haunted and heavy hearted... for days 😥.though i knew it wouldn't ever win a poll but just had a tiny little hope atleast one of them will win...just some wishful thinking 😇

2022-02-04 05:17:48 +0000 UTCI usually limit myself to Hindi cinema. However, encouraged by some comments here, I watched Tamil "Kandukondain Kandukondain" (2000). Really good Indian contemporary adaptation of Jane Austen's "Sense and Sensibility". Better than some western adaptations of her romance classics. Great Tabu and Mammootty. Film definitely better than "Bride and Prejudice", Bollywoodised version of Austen's "Pride and Prejudice", also featuring Aishwarya Rai.
