Yes… every film industry has been influenced by gangster stories since black and white days… a good chunk of movies have been conceptualized based on real life gangsters… there has been a political angle to it as well which was exhausted throughout the 80s and 90s… although the gangster culture has reduced in India… the concept is still used….the most recent film was “Kurup” by Dulquer Salman

2022-02-12 16:11:19 +0000 UTCYes it’s Malayalam and yes you need to check this director”s Fafa film “iyyobinte pusthakam” (translates to “the book of Job”) . That one has probably the best cinematography I have seen in an Indian movie. The main reason - the director himself is the DOP.
