Ah thank you so much for doing a re-reaction to this trailer, i really hope you end up watching and reviewing! A watchalong would be amazing. Also really hope for more re-reactions to the early SRK content you did in the beginning era of OSR.

Yeah, I think the problem is that nowadays some of these actors are so expensive, plus the cost of CGI, that it's impossible to make a smaller film with them, which is what this story requires. The action elements are so out of place.

I remember watching this movie in the theatre with my mom and we both loved it. I think people were upset with this movie because this was one of the first ones to not have any musical numbers. Somebody even sued this film for not including the one title track they had promoted lol.

Most people will tell you he was great as the Fan, but personally, his portrayal of the star was very underrated. It was completely grounded and much more layered than what meets the eye. He himself said that in an interview, he could use crutches to play the fan, but as the star, whatever he did would be perceived as who he is, even if it's not. Hope you catch on to that when you see it for yourself.

This movie is a great watch for die hard SRK fanatics. Yes, his acting is indeed top notch here and the concept looked great to begin with. But the film failed for me personally due to some outlandish instances and a certain extent of unbelievability. But if u wanna watch it purely for SRK's thespianism, then definitely its worthwhile.

I really hope you guys can do a watchalong for this!
Since you guys enjoy seeing his thespian acting style, you will really love his performance in this.
I think the concept of this movie was ahead of its time and the fact that there were almost no musical numbers in it did not help win the larger demographic.
SRK worked so hard for this film that he would tear up in between some of the takes as the prosthetics used on his face was too painful. He was devastated when the film didn’t do well.
If I could meet him one day, I would tell him that this is one of his best performances :)

I don’t know about others but I still enjoyed the movie. SRK’s performance is the biggest takeaway, but I thought the film was quite thrilling and engaging. My only gripe would be that the third act was a little unbelievable but the film is still worth a watch.

One thing that didn’t work for the larger audiences is the fact that there were no musical numbers in this one. Honestly, I liked the movie overall, even though the second half is a little weaker and stretches believability. But definitely worth a watch just for his performance alone, which in my opinion was his best in more than a decade.

The movie was not good because of believability factors. it could have been a gem, but was ultimately a bit filmy unreal. But his performance as the Fan was great.

Fan might be watched for SRK's performance and the film's concept. As much as SRK's playing with his stardom in (too) many of his films might be annoying, this one is worth a watch.
I like all his post-2015 films, all very good performances and challenging roles. Fan might be the best performance (one of SRK's best ever) but some cringe in the film's second part pushes me off and I don't like it as much as some other SRK's films. First part and climax are very good.
But overall wachable, original film that shouldn't be missed in SRK's filmography when speaking about acting. Illustrative for his evolution. Pity it's been spoilt.

I still don’t understand why this movie got so much negativity. I really enjoyed it and especially Shahrukhs acting as Gaurav. He was insane! I’m so happy that I saw this movie in the theater, I will never forget that experience and moment. I really recommend you to watch it. Maybe a watch a long like Darr?

The American film you were thinking of is Misery with Oscar winning performance of Kathy Bates.

"The guy from My Name is Khan" 😂 That old reaction was hilarious!
I think this movie is enjoyable except for certain over-the-top scenes in the middle.
