Bharatham (best actor national award for him)- again a story of a musician 2. Kireedam (narrowly missed out on another national award winner but one of his best performance) 3. Kamaladalam- he portrays an alcohol addict classical dancer. He actually learnt classical dancing for this movie. 4. Sadayam- see his darker side. 5. Thoovanathumbikal- had been suggested for romance month but one of his best.

2022-04-17 07:28:39 +0000 UTCMohanlal has been part of film on music, many many times. but interestingly he has also acted in films where music is not a theme but he is often portrayed as one as a quirk in the script. Do watch Bharatham that has music as the key underlying theme and for Mohanlal's acting chops too. Just a note, several movies in India across languages are based on one or other stories from the Mahabharatha or Ramayana even if set in current times. Will be a fun for you to be able to recognize those themes.
