You should watch Saudagar(1973), Alaap(1977), Namak Haram (1973), Mili(1975), Bemisaal (1982), Jurmana (1979)....and he has done a special appearance in lot of movies like Chashme Baddoor(1981).

2022-04-22 14:28:49 +0000 UTCIf y'all ever get to watch Bawarchi -- its such a wonderful, sweet family film directed by Hrishikesh Mukerjee with a young Jaya Bhaduri and Rajesh Khanna as the leads. This movie is a classic and my parents love it, but personally, I found it boring. Their performances are good but Zanjeer is so much better. Jaya is brilliant! If you liked her performance in K3G then you're gonna LOVE her in Kal Ho Na Ho since she plays a single mom. I don't think anyone else could've done a better job. But don't watch any scenes because that could spoil the movie.

These two were memorable and drew my attention. Suddenly I discovered where I saw them in much later films... My slow learning process of Indian cinema

Whose son, took ever the reins soon after- RD Burmam (music composer of SHOLAY and other iconic AB films). I believe u have the LP of this film- the vinyl tracks are simply Divine. - AB fan from Florda.

They got married soon after, and ironically- Amitabh went on to became the more famous artist. Hrishikesh Mukherjee made the most “Grounded & Real” films with AB (as opposed to his fantastical- adventurous roles). The director managed to get the best “acting” out of Amitabh in a string of spectacular films- Anand, Abhimaan, Mili, Chupke-Chupke (next comedy u guys should watch), NamakHaram, Jurmana and Bemisaal. Hrishikesh Mukerjee was Jaya’s real life Godfather, Made realistic and warm films when others made “Amitabh Bachchan-Esq” ones . Both Jaya and Amitabh had very high regard and family-like relations with Hrishikesh Mukerjee. One of the best makers to ever come out of Bengal. Jaya was pregnant with their (her and AB’s) Daughter while during the Shooting of SHOLAY. AB was not happy about all the rocky, and hilly environs of SHOLAY with Jaya being pregnant and all.
