2022-04-29 05:25:44 +0000 UTCI realized after watching your movie review of Bhool Bhulaiya, why my fiance didn't enjoy the movie either. He doesn't speak Hindi. When that film released it wasn't predicted to do super well. But the horror-ish film that was actually a comedy was received very well by Indian audiences. I recall my brother who only basically loves 3 Idiots and doesn't appreciate most Indian films like I do loved Bhool Bhulayia. But my brother and I natively speak Hindi. My fiance doesn't speak any Indian language. So when we watched BB setting his expectations very high, he was bored the entire time. We got to the end and he was like okay, no offense but I think this movie wasn't all that great. I remember feeling very confused and upset about why he didn't see what I'm seeing. There's a lot of play on Hindi words/phrases and cultural stuff. Even like the Thakur/Rhandawa joke in this trailer -- I can't imagine a lot of people will understand that. Anyways, just wanted to share that it's not just y'all, and its not just cuz your white. My Indian fiance that doesn't speak Hindi also had a similar experience and I was able to make sense of it because of your channel. :)

2022-04-27 03:01:48 +0000 UTCThese comedy movies were only good when Neeraj Vora was writing for Priyadarshan, after him they’ve all been bad. Even Hungama 2 was bad because Priyadarshan alone can’t make a good Hindi comedy.
