The spectrum in India is changing and this video would be more relevant 10 years back but is not close to reality now. A lot of focus is now been given to the NE states with respect to infrastructure, connectivity, education etc, in fact they are making us proud by being winners in most competitive sports events including the recently concluded Commonwealth games. As is commonly said that one needs a healthy body to survive and we understand that we can’t have a strong right arm and a weak left arm, both have to be nurtured equally

It was Chak de India that made me to look at the map of India more carefully and see these North-Eastern states. I liked this film also for all these social and cultural aspects which were pointed out. A bit eye-opening for a foreigner. I'm wondering if you liked this film a bit more if you had watched it later. There's more in Chak de India than just hockey story.
