Bunch of us who have watched a lot of Tamil and Telugu films are used these over the top (while enjoyable) depictions and the melodrama. So my first reaction to RRR - I loved being part of the crowd that enjoyed a block buster the way they do in Tamil Nadu. Andhra and Telengana. But personally, I thought the film was the same over the top telugu cinema that am used to. I am enjoying the film more now that I hear a lot of new peoples' perspective but has not changed what I thought was weak about it. I understand why a lot of Americans are loving the film as its fresh for you but for many of us, its the same old but with better CGI. We were mesmerized by Eega and Bahubali and RRR is the latest in the sequence but not new.
