It does not take a lot for a brown person to tan - ask any Indian mom - what happens to their kids during summer holidays in India!! Or people wearing slippers/chappals. You get the outline of the chappal on your skin which is a tan line. Specially any Indian who is into outdoor sports and plays/practices under direct sun. My son and husband get burnt badly within 20 -30 minutes of being in the sun if they don't have their sun protection cream on. Also another fact brown people can get sunburnt without obvious signs - we get itchy skin, dry skin and in worse cases (happened to me) skin peel off. Of course very pale skinned people and ginger haired people are more prone to getting skin burns within a short span of time but brown people get tanned and burnt too. The other thing is that in India we do not sit in the direct sun for long periods except in winters and that could be possibly the reason why Indrani has never had a tan line before.

All that talk on sun burn and tan lines are very very silly. All of us have tan lines no matter what color we are. Indrani might not have seem too much sun. EVERYONE gets sun burn. its actually a very racist thing to say that we do not!!!! Just have to say this.
Decades and decades of medical research has discriminated against people of color because of these stupid notions, like oh they may not get sun burn or they have a different threshold for pain!!!! Most medical procedures and medecine in Allopathy are based on research done only on white people. Please OSR, you have to get above this
