I loved Lal singh chadda, but since it didn’t do well in theatres, the distributors are loosing a lot of money as they have already paid the producers for the rights. Hence box office becomes important in the sense that whenever another movie is planned for Aamir, the budget will have to be lower as the process wouldn’t be certain whether the distributors would pay as much to recover their investments. I know it has nothing to do with artistry, but making money for the producers and distributors is important for making that creativity and artistry viable to bet money on.
