I agree with him that he shouldn't be defending his choice to play characters that are flawed and imperfect because those characters deserve to be represented (I didn't like the film though). The problem I have had with Kabir Singh is the director defending it and justifying the problematic aspects and saying that "If you can't slap your partner, then you're not in love". So for me that thought process is the problem and not flawed characters in fictional stories. It's a different story if people depict flawed and problematic characters and not defend them. Say it is the story of a problematic man and let it be told.
