Yesterday I watched Wake Up Sid again.. I found their English okay.. it was Sid’s Mother’s English that wasnt ok but she was supposed to speak wrong English.. Our spoken English is usually literal translation of Hindi.. its different.. But I get it.. I am living in LA for past 12 years now and LA girls english(think of Kardashians) or the louder ones, its hard to hear after sometime .. Some People are also very loud here, pitch wise.. loud talking on phone , loud conversations in restaurants, basically no courtesy to other people’s space is very common.. another reason they want us to Speak louder coz they cant hear or understand us .. then we start putting on the accent so the conversation flows.. If the accent sticks, you are made fun of back in India .. stories of immigrant life !!

The English used in india is a mix of British English and creolization of the various state languages with English.. Eg: I will give you one Jhaap = I will slap you… etc.. Cringey and Cringeworthy are words that can be interpreted are indian English is being judged as inferior just saying
