You are right!! One unique attribute of the Tamil movie industry is that unlike any other industry the stardom and adoration and celebrations of stars and artists are given irrespective of where they come from ...dont think that they were that common those days🥰 🥰

2022-11-28 02:20:21 +0000 UTCLoved this… Rick is partially right in saying Rajni paved way for mass commercial hysteria (lose your mind) type of movies… but even Rajni and Kamal are inspired from two legendary actors of the earlier generation… Sivaji Ganesan and MGR… while Sivaji is the true Thespian in all facets… MGR is the OG mass “God” status icon of the 70s and 80s… he truly set the ball rolling for the generations to come… also MGR had GOD status on and off the screen… i still remember transports and shops used to have MGR’s photo as a sign of adoration and respect… Rajni was his true successor (only ON screen)… PUN intended! 😂
