You described it well, that's why I love MR's films... he squeezes out the romance in the routine. Also, love AB in MR's movies he's just very raw.

2022-11-15 11:45:31 +0000 UTCRani Mukherjee is definitely one of the actresses who brings so much to a role with any co actor but there was something special, playful & sexy when she shared screen space with Abhishek Bachchan. This song is gorgeous but so is the way both actors interact here and you can see it irrespective of having watched the movie. There is something sweet about a young couple in love - still discovering each other, playful, flirty - and these two portray all of that. Also I feel if you have been to Kolkatta or lived there you can also get that added romance of old Kolkatta streets, the narrow doors with latch on the top, the rolling out of the mat/chatai/mattress for sleeping, the way Rani gets the clothes from the quaint old terrace, the glimpse of Howrah Bridge in the back ground........Rani's sari draped the traditional way, Abhishek waering the red 'ganji' with the loose pyjamas dancing with his 'gamcha'. Manirathnam is fantastic at capturing the essence of the simple in every which way!! Loooove everything about this.
