2023-01-31 07:56:36 +0000 UTCIt's rather common in India for families to turn away girls that were kidnapped and sold/given into sex trafficking. Even if they cried and cried when she was kidnapped. Stigma and regressive thinking. This is one of the big reasons why many rescued women even go back to the business because they don't know where else to go, especially if they've been doing that most of their lives. It's very sad :(
