There are so many Indian movies based on Coal mine backdrop... Coal mines are very different compared to the KGF gold mines. Singareni is one of the hottest places in South India where temperatures touch 125 deg F (more than 50 deg C) every year. Life of the miners in local villages near Singareni is extremely difficult though the company is run by Govt of India.
