The older actor is Nagesh, an extraordinary comedy actor who Kamal Haasan reveres as his guru in comedy acting. He was called India’s Jerry Lewis in his time. I remember Rick calling him exactly that in one of the reactions. Among most must watch scenes are his Thiruvilayadal’s Dharumi, Ethir Neechal’s Maadhu, Server Sundaram’s Sundaram, Baama Vijayam’s Krishnan, Magalir Mattum’s dead body, Nammavar’s final act of the dad. Can or should write about those 1000 other great comedy performances but limited space restricts me.
