How one could sit through and listen to that accent, pronunciation and absolutely terrible English, is beyond me!

We have an operational and expanding metro system, flyovers, a few big shopping malls (including one that is one of the biggest in the country), intrenational fast food chains, bookstores, cafes, all the big car brands etc. All seems great, right? Not really. The roads are paved with cheap quality materials and with a little hard rain, there are potholes everywhere. The drainage system is poor often with slabs uncovered. Waste management is poor and you can see a ton of waste bags dumped on the sides of major streets. Many streets are unlit at night. Electric and telephone cables hang perilously overhead, Traffic rules are hardly ever enforced and people drive as they please always causing anxiety to others. Trashcans are hard to find and even if available, people still liter on the streets. Stray animals are a common sight on the roads etc. My point is shouldn't these basic amenities and infrastructures and educating and enforcing appropriate behaviour in people come before all these 'big' developments. And i know it is worse in a lot of bigger cities! Cities like Bombay have had that big skyline from decades ago. Its nothing new. All those panning drone shots you see do not adequately reflect what it is like on the streets.
