I think some Indian singers love to olive to these requests coz you may be right- they are so highly trained that their talent is like breathing to them.. One regret I have is not walking upto Bappida- the legendary Bappi Leheri when I saw him at a restaurant. He was with another couple late in the night at a restaurant here in LA. Only two tables were occupied- his and ours .. but I didnt want to disturb him as I wanted to respect his private time. Our eyes met once, and I could feel he might have liked it if we did show that we recognize him and love his songs.. it almost felt like a legend who is in his retirement is missing the adulation. When I thought of it later, I felt really bad for missing the chance.. And just a few years later he passed away.. gosh.. some memories to live with
