Think why some people do harp on about nepotism is that many new comers from within film families get a break easily even when they do not deserve it. Sometimes they get a few more chances too (undeservedly) before eventually they give up due to lack of talent. Whereas if you are a newcomer with no filmy background then it takes years before you even get a chance, that is if you do at all in the first place! If you are talented and from within the industry then your talent will take you places and the audience appreciates you too but you still get your first opportunity much more easily than an outsider.
