Director Sooraj Bharjatya's debut film, "Maine Pyar Kiya" there is a popular dialouge "In Dosti, no Sorry, no thank you" which is why a younger version of him is standing out there writing when Shahrukh says that dialouge in 40.30.

Akshay Kumar is "Rajiv Bhatia", Ranveer Singh doesn't add "Bhavnani" which is his actual surname and ofc there are many more examples.

2023-02-06 06:08:24 +0000 UTCI really wish you had some Indian watching with you, to point all the crazy number of bollywood references, - Subhash Ghai was the director of the first Risihi Kapoor number, Farah Khan, the director of this film, is the lady that SRK fights with to get the hero's jacket in that first number. Then there is Dev Anand, Manoj Kumar and the dialogues of "no sorry, no thank you in friendship became very very popular in Salman Khan's first film Maine Pyar Kiya and the guys standing outside the tent writing the dialogue down is supposedly Sooraj Bharjatiya, the director of that film. Literally every scene and dialogue is a reference to an aesthetic or dialogue from old school bollywood.
