you get out by rule of "leg before wicket" if you "block" the ball which is supposed to hit the stump by any part of your body
in that sense of understanding Korbin is right
if you stop the ball from hitting the stump by a bat, it would be called defending. it is a valid play, it is not blocking in the sense it would never lead to the batsman getting out

Corbin you gotta stop calling it blocking when it's leg before wicket blocking means that they stop the ball with the bat not when the ball hits the pad
