BTW in terms of adjusted earnings nothing comes close to Sholay and Hum aapke hain kaun (HAHK)'. Anybody looking to understand Indian cinema and its audience has to understand 'masala', 'dialogue-baazi' and 'Indian family values with song and dance thrown in'. Sholay is a walking dictionary for understanding the first two. It is the movie which defines these two terms. HAHK along with K3G are torch bearers for the last one. The best exponent of 'dialogue-baazi' in recent times has been Pushpa (some extent KGF 2). The entire climax of Pushpa is dialogue-baazi.
