I agree Fan is not a cult classic. I don't know the numbers. For me, when i watch a movie, esoecially of a star i love, it should have me glued to my seat. This movie had me sleeping in my couch..... The pilse was totally missing nor he plot was presented grippingly. Except for the transformation of 50 yes old SRK to 25 yes old SRK, there was nothing classic about this movie...

Even if the script is different, he still plays the superstar SRK in almost all his films instead of playing the character. I disagree that people reject him when he tries to do different films, people reject the film cos its a bad film, simple.
