I started Jubilee. Well made show but somehow I haven't got hooked. But makes me want to watch more classics from Bollywood Golden Era. I higly recommend Panchayat.

The reason it’s treated like fiction and does not point to the inspiration is just that - they were inspired. It was not biographical. Spoilers ahead: Devika Rani died of bronchitis, Kishore Kumar never begged on the streets, Ashok Kumar didn’t leave Najmul Hasan to die in partition riots and Nargis didn’t leave the film industry heartbroken. The story drew inspiration from real life, but created a fictionalized, cinematic account. So how can we criticize the team for stating it’s a work of fiction?
