I wouldn't recommend watching this film as it has not aged well. Disturbing premise of stalking that they equate to love.

For Nayanthara watch Kolamavu Kokila directed by Nelson. Second would be Nettrikkan

It’s not boxing ourselves in… Korbin said it’s more interesting for a watchalong when it’s not a serious type film because then we’ll see reactions from them. Hence why the films they’ve been watching for watch a longs haven’t been like a pudhupettai or Aadukalam. Also, those 2 films aren’t action or thriller or horror genres.

Selvaraghavan is Dhanush’s brother :)

And I believe it was originally made in Telugu by Selvaraghavan. One more reason to not see it.

And why is gangs of wasseypur not the same ? It is fully Hindi heartland, in fact as alien to us south Indians as it is to Korbin & Rick. The underlining factor is that it was a great film. Cultural rootedness and westerners not getting it is all a myth... Rick and Korbin have watched enough Indian films to 'get it '

But why does a watch along have to be a rom com? Why can't we have an action, thriller or even a horror as a rom com. The only qualifying factor should be that its a good movie, nothing else. Let's not box ourselves in.

Guys - Let's not underrate Korbin and Rick. The cultural rootedness is not a problem - the more local it is, the more global it is. If they can appreciate the art and work in Gangs of Wasseypur, you think they can't get Aadukalam ?

Thiruchithrambalam is definitely the best of this director but I don’t see why they shouldn’t watch Yaaradi Nee Mohini. They just have to keep in mind that the movie isn’t as flawless given that it was made in 2008 . also I think Pudhupettai and Aadukalam are good films but they’re not necessarily watch a long types, more suitable for review

I would not recommend this at all, especially after watching Thiruchitrambalam. If you wan to watch a Dhanush film, you have to go for Pudhupettai or Aadukalam

You might be mistaking Nayanthara for Nithya menon from Thiruchitrambalam . There’s a movie with DQ and her called Ok kanmani directed by Mani ratnam
